inhouse employees to take care of routine work, you begin to use a formula for success that we at MediaGraphics have developed for our clients.

Keeping costs at bay.
Finally, to keep costs at bay, keep your expectations in check. MediaGraphics will help you root out the features that you really don’t need. If you’re spending more money and energy than you’re gaining in sales, pare back quickly, and we’ll show you how.

Choosing your web host.
Deciding on where to store your business files is a rather important process. You can either choose to let your Internet service provider (ISP) host your
web site or you can turn to a true web hosting company.
Like ISPs, dedicated Web Hosting companies provide servers linked to the Internet, but good hosts have superior servers and speedier, direct connections to the Internet. Also, a top web hosting service more often offers features that regular ISPs don’t, including special commerce servers that can enhance the security of online transactions.
When choosing a Web Host consider four factors: 1) server space, 2) traffic, 3) support and 4) special technology features.
Typical business sites geared for e-business need anywhere from 10 to 100 megabytes of space on the web server. Your developer should be able to guide you on exactly how much. Wait, however, until you’re sure you’ve covered all business integration issues with your Internet marketing professional. Then get the web space requirements from your web developer before pricing Web Hosts and ISPs.        (to top)

(Remember that it’s important to adhere to your disk quota because if you surpass it, you will incur a penalty from the hosting service.)

Watch the traffic.
Traffic is another surcharging opportunity for web hosts. If a lot of people visit your site, it pays to have an experienced Internet marketer to assist you. If you’re not getting increased sales from the traffic like you should, the extra charges the host imposes will cut into profits. Make sure you know what they are.
An experienced marketer can help you utilize those visits with cooperative promotions among other advertisers...or show you ways to qualify your visitors so that they are mostly shoppers rather than surfers.

Naming your domain.
It’s extremely important to get a domain name that fits your business and belongs to you.
e.g.: (www.yourcompany.com) Registration fees are usually so reasonable that many companies register names with different extensions, e.g. yourcompany.org yourcompany.biz...yc.us, etc.  They want search engines to pick up their sites more readily, and they hope people won’t get confused or side-tracked by a similar name with the same or a different extension.

Technology Issues.
E-mail addresses, tech support, programs for handling mailing lists and generating automatic e-mail
