RemotePrinter 5.5 introduces, more choice for users and new and improved features in the Print Room. RemotePrinter Server remains the core of a suite of applications developed to allow customers to easily send documents as “printer ready” PDF files to the Print Room complete with finishing instructions.

The improvements are seen across the entire range of ePrint Products. RemotePrinter Driver RemotePrinter Driver Job Ticket has been enhanced to make it even easier to use,whilst increasing the options available for users. In order to give Users more choice,RemotePrinter is now available with a choice of PDF creation software. (See Table 1)

Change the look and feel of RemotePrinter Server

People work differently, therefore you can adjust the look and feel of RemotePrinter Server.Making RemotePrinter even easier to use,it is now possible to switch between the traditional “Standard” and the new “Compact” view.The print function, now embodied within the RemotePrinter Server, has been redesigned to allow for a wider range of printer support with single point & click operation.

Xerox DocuSP Version 3 & 4 Support

RemotePrinter now supports both V3 and V4 DocuSP controllers. This allows advanced Page Programming of jobs. Page Programming is applied in RemotePrinter Server before submitting the job to a printer, allowing the Print Room to pre-program paper tray selection for differing page ranges within the document.

Printing from RemotePrinter Server

The print function, now embodied within the RemotePrinter Server, has been redesigned to allow for a wider range of printer support with simple single point & click operation. To provide the additional flexibility required for printers that have difficulty with PDF to Postscript conversion, documents may now be output as Postscript. (to Top)

n Billing options
Billing options are now accessible with a single click, allowing the Print Room to make billing adjustments quickly and easily. Original pricing is displayed along with any applied adjustments and final cost. A hard copy “Statement” can be printed for invoicing purposes if required.

n Paper Stock options
Prices for both Colour and Mono can be entered separately, providing greater flexibility and increased simplicity.

n Report Generation
Reporting capabilities are further enhanced by the addition of a new powerful, easy to use Criteria Query Tooling. Management Reports can be produced as frequently as the Print Room wishes, indicating for example, the total print volumes and cost over a period for a particular account, department or customer.

n Custom Address Field & Password
   Masking
The Custom Address Field can be used to gather additional information from users..These fields can be set to define a user options such as a department name or student ID.

n Citrix support
RemotePrinter is now Citrix enabled for the growing number of organizations choosing this architecture. The installation in Citrix environments will differ with each organization, depending on the customers in house requirements. It is therefore essential to allow for onsite consultancy for local customization.

RemotePrinter WEB supplied as standard with RemotePrinter Enterprise, maintains the simplicity, power and functionality of RemotePrinter Server for users that require remote Internet access to the Print Room without the need to install drivers on your client PC’s.
